Spirits of the Dead

French arty collection of three short movies based on the works of Poe. One by Roger Vadim, One by Louise Malle, one by Fellini. I thought they all had merits and good parts, but also some incredibly slow stretches. If you want to see Jane Fonda circa '68 holding court at some orgies and falling in love with a horse this flick's for you! Brigitte Bardot also has a good part. Has anyone seen it?
i liked the great '60s hair, costumes, make-up.

Yes, I saw this one a few years back. Art-house directors take on Poe and forget to be scary. Much like Polanski did in Ninth Gate. Coppola, in his Dracula, managed to be artsy and still supply a few Boos!!!! And I just don't like Malle.

Liked Vadim's Blood and Roses much better.
