The Evil Dead 2
An American Werewolf In London The Exorcist Blair Witch Project Frankenstien The Wicker Man Alien The Others Dawn of the Dead Invasion of the Bodysnatchers Coma Pin Interview with a Vampire The Birds and loads of others that I cant think of right now. One point I will make is that really good horror films dont date, and alot of films I enjoyed at the time are just too dated now to be on an essential list. Though I still enjoy them.

he he he knew that one would cause controversy. To be honest I really didnt like the look of it and had to be persuaded to go see it. Haunted house stories are always bad. I had never liked one ghost film I ever saw. Until I saw The Others. Not only is it extremely well made and acted, I found it genuinly creepy. Probably the best haunted house film ever.
