A powerful and brash coming-of-age film. The last 20-odd minutes have a couple of powerful emotional sucker punches to the gut. Highly recommended again - Fortunato, Return, Alky and everyone else who loves their cinema with a bit of dark-edged reality.

Thanks ! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Wise Blood (1979) Flannery O'Connor's excellent novel makes a truly bizarre film. Pretty true to the book on paper, it comes off a little goofier and messier than its source material, which is certainly nothing out of the ordinary. That being said, it's still very engaging, unique cinema. Very enjoyable. Die Hard (1988)

Legend of Drunken Master (1994). The fight sequences were absolutely incredible . The mill scene was the perfect ending to a perfect Kung Fu flick. Fun trivia is that Jackie Chan's real life body guard had to step in to do the fight finale due to an injury of the original cast. Ashe.

Well worth the watch just to witness Nick Cage chew the scenary for a couple of hours..Brad Dourif is great too..Fairuza Balk is hot in a way too short cameo.. Nick never quite reaches the depravity that Harve did in the same role....I really can't believe that Herzog said it had nothing to do with the Ferrara film and the film company made him call it he Bad Lieutenant. |
