The "From Beyond" Enigma

Stuart Gordon, is a man with alot to offer. Heck, Re-Animator alone is enough to label him a genious. It's hard to name a film of his that does'nt have some kind of following. The same goes for his second collaboration with Jeffery Combs and Barbara Crampton, H.P Lovecraft's From Beyond. The film also stars Ken (Dawn of the Dead) Foree and Caroline (Re-Animator) Gordon. The film tells the story of a scientist (Combs) who is admitted into an insane asylum for the aparent murder of his partner
(Ted Sorel) created a pineal gland stimulator that offers a doorway to another world. He is brought back to the house by his shrink (Crampton) and a police officer (Foree) to show them how it works. It is then that they discover that Dr .Pretorius did'nt just die, but traveled to that other world, and is coming back to wreak havoc. Now, the enigma in question is this, WHY IS THERE NO DVD?! Not even a special edition tape, none, nada, zip! The film has been in limbo, unavailable (for the most part) and out-of-print. Why? Why do distributors not understand the growing demand for this cult classic, we all don't have monstersHD you know.
