Hmm, this seems familiar. I would suggest Martyrs, Salo: 120 Days of Sodom, Cannibal Holocaust, Inside, Human Centipede, Human Centipede 2, A Serbian Film, Antichrist, Oldboy, A Clockwork Orange, Cannibal Ferox, Anthropophagus. That should be a good start. I am just joking. I would say try getting what you can at the pawn shop. Otherwise, focus on building your classics selection. After I did that, I just searched through compilations and books for ideas of what to buy. There are so many good ones.

I have seen most of the Hammer Horror films (well the ones I thought were important) and I Must say I really Enjoyed them (though in my opinion I didn't enjoy the Dracula films as much as the Frankenstein movies). But I didn't think about getting those choices

Are you collecting movies simply to collect, or are you looking for movies for rewatchability?
My collection is rather small but only because I try to focus on movies that I know I could rewatch (this might sound weird but horror isn't as rewatchable for me as, say, comedies are) - A few movies that I find rewatchable are: Evil Dead II Army of Darkness The Descent The Signal May Shaun of the Dead The hubby can rewatch both versions of Dawn of the Dead. |

If you love Halloween, DEFINITELY add the original Black Christmas to your collection; you'll see where Carpenter got his inspiration!

I believe he got his inspiration from Psycho (1960) and yes Black Christmas is a wonderful movie.
