I loved 13 Ghosts right up until the ending. The rest of the movie was great, almost as good as one of my personal favorite Hollywood horrors, the very similar House on Haunted Hill [1999]. Both films suffered from less-than-stellar endings, but it was 13 Ghosts that really suffered the most...

Anyway, heres a brief list:

Dagon
Session 9
Saw/Saw 2
Skeleton Key
Final Destination
Dog Soldiers

I think the problem that alot of people have with modern horror is that, in most cases, you cant even try to take it seriously. Final Destination is a perfect example. Fun deaths, good gore, very original twist on the slasher genre...but nothing more. Lacked any kind of seriousness what-so-ever. Personally, that doesnt ruin a movie for me so long as the "fun" is done well.

^^^

Im dead tired, so excuse me if that doesnt make sence:o

i loved the set design..
I own both as well and find them entertaining. They wouldn't make my top ten list though.

Haha, yeah. People's top 20 horror lists from 2000-06 are just a list of the horror movies that came out. There isnt enough to be picky.
