Ever seen Roman Polanski's "Repulsion?" I don't know if it would be considered horror, but it's a fuckin' great movie.

Lightbulb

it isn't really horror but TROMA movies can be quite entertaining, toxic avenger, tromeo and juliet, class of nuke em high, sgt. kabukiman NYPD, Terror Firmer are all good, but warning: TROMA is kind of an aquired taste, and isn't really for all, but worth trying out

In case you aren't aware, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is silent, so if you don't like silent movies then steer clear of that one
