Its a decent read. A rarity for King for the past 15 years or so.

DEVIANT-Harold Schecter. Well written book about the life and times of Ed Gein. Harold really has a flair with these kind of things.

Stephen King - The Gunslinger (first of Dark Tower series)
Wasn't sure how I would feel about this book, stopped myself from buying it a few times. Finally decided to take the plunge and picked up a copy today. A very good decision. Very good decision indeed. |

Did you read the rewrite or the original? Original's far better.

It's a rare occassion that a film remake is better than the original, I feel the same way about my good ol' books. |

Good. :D Though there is a cool scene in the rewrite, the quality of writing is much better in the original.

Finished the Blackwater series. 6 books in total. Each one is not very long. Its an enjoyable read. Its primarily about the Caskey family and how they change overtime. There's a bit of horror interspersed throughout the series, but as I said its primarily about the Caskey family. They're a wealthy southern family hit hard by a flood in the first book and continues from there. The books are easy and enjoyable enough. I definitely suggest the series. They're collected into a single book, but I bought each individual one. The high quality ones are expensive so I bought them in meh condition books.

REEL TERROR-David Konow. Kind of a Cliff Notes history of the horror film from CALIGARI up to 2008 or so, but a decent read, especially for a newcomer.
David also wrote BANG YOUR HEAD: THE RISE AND FALL OF HEAVY METAL, which I also recommend. |
