Fobos. Klub strakha aka The Phobos (2010)
A Russian Horror flick, with good production value but very mediocre plot and disappointing ending. >>: C

The Woman In Black.
Pretty good. A lot of jumps and jolts which I didn't much care for (I'm more of a unsettling atmosphere kind of guy) but it was entertaining. Anyone else think the ending was a little...Fulci-esque? |

Slaughtered. Almost absolute crap, very boring and not a bit impressing. Only the girls were good, the rest of the movie doesn't have such tits:)
P.S. Probably the first time when I removed the movie from my PC only because of its extreme weakness. Last edited by Tony Vilgotsky; 03-01-2012 at 11:33 AM. |

Dagon.
The opening of this movie has a beautiful and scary underwater scene. I thought the movie would be awesome from that scene. Also, whoever found the town is a genius. It feels like the town in Resident Evil 4. So do the inhabitants. Maybe Capcom was inspired by this movie. The town is the perfect setting for a horror movie. But then they introduce the main character. A guy who either can't act or was told to be annoying, bumbling, silly, etc. The female lead is beautiful and I wish she was in the movie a lot more. The story is pretty good but for the most part ruined by the main character and the silly humor that enters the story because of him. I've never read a Lovecraft story. But I will one of these days. I've been curious about his stories since finding out that Ninja Gaiden on NES was influenced by the Cthulhu. |
