My Sweet Satan

Jim Van Bebber rules! He is an artist and a true grindhouse master and this short film shows off his acting, directing and gore effects.

Sounds like one which would be right up my alley.

Thanks, J...I ll get hold of this asap and get back to you.

Shoot Em' Up

I have watched this one atleast a half dozen times since it's release on DVD and it just keeps getting better and better each view. I have been showing it to my friends and family who haven't seen it. Last night I showed my brother Dennis and he was loving every minute of it. If you haven't seen it yet please check it out....It is such a fun over the top mindless action flick that you will not regret watching it.

A Few Good Men.

There's nothing like getting goosebumps and feeling blown away by the commanding screen presence of a powerful actor. That too when giving a movie at least the 9th or 10th viewing.

Nicholson as Jessup is like a huge cannon with his towering presence from start to finish, especially in the power-punch filled climactic courtroom sequence. So good is he, that poor Tom Cruise is reduced to a second-lead even after giving such a good performance (for a change).

The rest of the cast - Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Keifer Sutherland - round up superbly, and J.T.Walsh as Markinson is THE MOST powerful underlying character in the history of cinema (and scripts), IMO.

A must-watch for anyone who hasn't seen this yet. If you weren't impressed by this movie, you need to see a shrink asap.

The scene where Nicholson finally cracks is amazing. Maybe Reiner's best- though Misery is great too.
