Freaks and its director Todd Browning, probably did more to spur my personal style in the world of horror, than any other film or director. The emotional investment that you are forced to make as you watch the lives of the various characters unfold; is pulled from you in the masterful fashion of a vampire taking a victim. You don't want to give in, but you must. Few films have that power.
