Great flick. I've been a very big fan of Neil Marshall's work, even the oft-criticized Doomsday.
The Descent is by far my favorite. IMO, one of the best horror films from the last decade.

Sean Pertwee is a quality actor... Never understood why he hasnt had more success in cinema. He tends to crop up in plenty of British flicks and TV series but never really managed to make a transition to bigger budget American cinema.
