I agree to the point of finding her character unbelievable. I mean, sure, she was threatening; but based on how old she was in the film, I had a difficult time suspending my disbelief.

Not really a true horror movie
I thought the movie Volver was kind of disturbingly subtle.
Long story short, you have this character that everyone believes is dead. But she is really alive and pretending to be a ghost. Eventually her family discovers she was alive this entire time and they reconcile. But she decides she has lived so long for a ghost that she maintains it instead of ever really coming back into the real world. If you are not a fan of subtitles or movies by Pedro Almodovar then stay away. |

Talk to Her left such a bad taste in my mouth that I find myself automatically hating all of his work. Otherwise I would have found Volver tolerable but not excellent.
