The Astronaut's Wife is one of my favorite movies....in fact, I own it.
I always liked The Astronaut's Wife despite the lack of attention and praise it gets.

Me too. I simply adore Maniac Cop and it's sequel, ever since I watched it as a child. Robert Z'Dar was terrifying to me.

Underrated film, with very obvious nods to Rosemary's Baby. Most people hated it but I liked it. Thoughts?

Noted. Thanks for the heads-up, buddy.

About time you got around to watching this underrated gem.

They say Cameron Diaz looks quite old in this, and so not the part of her character. What say?
i think they are making a maniac cop 4 v

"Red Riding Hood" (2011)
-Amanda Seyfried, Gary Oldman, Shiloh Fernandez

Plot: IMDB

Valerie (Seyfried) is a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider, Peter (Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon... Written by Warner Bros. Pictures

Phantom's Review: I gotta be honest with you, I really didn't know what to expect from this film when we watched it. Was it going to be a "Wolfman" style "guts and gore" horror flick? Or some sort of lame "Twilight" type of film. Much to my surprise, the film seemed to follow a murder mystery type of format with almost the entire village locked behind walls and the werewolf is someone on the inside. You get a bunch of suspects to choose from and the director leads you in different directions as you try and figure it out. The film is beautifully shot and is surprisingly good, both in story and acting.
The romance angle is a little cliche', but the ending is interesting. Overall, I liked it.

This is a very fine BBC adaptation of a M.R. James story. Though only 50 minutes long but there are some pretty effectively creepy set pieces. Highly recommended to those who love old fashioned atmospheric ghost stories.

I had to see it.

"A Warning To The Curious" 7/10

The Woman In Black without the woman in black. Very atmospheric indeed.

"Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" 9/10

Could easilly have watched 2 more hours of this movie. Hopefully i will when a sequal is made. Next year?
