"See Before You Die" list...
It's a strange heading for a list, not even sure what that really means. I'd be curious how any of you define it for making your list. Better to go camping once before you die than to see a horror film. Anyway, I'd consider this type of list to be more so for important horror films -- a slice of the horror genre. The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) Nosferatu (1922) Dracula (1931) Frankenstein (1931) King Kong (1933) The Wolf Man (1941) Gojira (1954) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) Psycho (1960) Night of the Living Dead (1968) Rosemary's Baby (1968) The Exorcist (1973) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) Jaws (1975) Halloween (1978) Alien (1979) Poltergeist (1982) The Thing (1982) Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) The Fly (1986) Most important films just missing list: The Shining (1980) Evil Dead II (1987) Scanners (1980) The Haunting (1963) The Birds (1963) The Howling (1981) Return of the Living Dead (1985) Aliens (1986) Diabolique (1955) Carrie (1976) Curse of Frankenstein (1957) Horror of Dracula (1958) Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) Beast from 40,000 Fathoms (1953) Last edited by Sculpt; 12-04-2015 at 09:02 PM. |
