Unhappy Monalisa passed away on 11/29/09

Kathy known as Monalisa on this board passed away on 11/29/09.

She was a very special person that I had the privilege of knowing for more than 15 years. She always had a child like way of experiencing everything and it was one of the qualities I liked most. She was a very trusting, sensitive and caring person who loved and was loved by many. She will be missed.

If anyone wants more information please feel free to e-mail me.

I've always wondered how we would feel when one of our members died...I mean, it is inevitable, we will all die someday..I've thought about who would inform us, or whether anyone would inform us at all...I've thought that most likely when one of us died, we would never even know...I mean, how many of you have asked someone to contact HDC to inform us of your death?...I would imagine when I die, you guys will find out rather quickly, because so many of my family members are here, but what about the majority of you guys, how would we find out?

As it turns out, this being our very first 'death', my feelings are...skepticism...Complete and utter skepticism...Right or wrong, good or bad, that's just where my head is...Who would Kathy have asked to inform us of her death?...Would she have even considered such a thing, and if so, what would cause her to consider it?

I'm gonna need an obit from a Minnesota paper.

Perhaps I've just been on the internet for far too long.

I had a good mate who was big in the hacker/cracker scene - when he died (he always had health problems) - one of the first people I though of contacting who I knew wouldn't know were the ppl on IRC channel their group used.

It was kinda weird. I dropped in for a good while after to say hello after that.

I knew I hadn't seen her around for some time...damn, her and I never had anything but cool towards eachother.
One of our longest time, and IMO nicest members always someone I enjoyed speaking with.

I won't press for extra information...but I wanted to say that whoever you are, it's good of you to do this - I appreciate it can't be easy.
I wish you the best in moving forward too.

Absolutely terrible. What a good soul she was. Mona was always playing mediator. Trying to stop members from arguing. She will be missed.

R.I.P. :(

Thanks for letting us know, if you hadn't, I don't know when we would have found out. She was a good contributor, a decent person and will be missed. My condolences to whoever you are.
