Help finding horror short...tales from the crypt ?

From what i can remember..here is the basic plot:

A young girl accidentally kills her mum by letting the handbrake off the car, her mother is up a ladder at the time and the ladder is knocked over., her dad is away on business at the time (possibly in an airport). The girl has a recurring dream each night about killing her mother, eventually she tries to change the dream, in the dream she is able to save her mother and when she wakes up her mother is alive and her father is dead (killed in a plane crash)..she is then able to change reality by making changes in the dream, she then has to decide if she wants her mother or father to live.

I have no idea what this is, anybody have any ideas ?

It may have been a film or possibly a short story such as tales from the crypt or something along those lines.
