The remakes of The Wicker Man and The Stepford Wives almost seemed to mock the original films, and I didn't appreciate that.

I do not think they mock the original films, but they do have a different tone. The remake of the Stepford wives are a comedy really and remake of the Wickerman to is lighter in tone than the original, though I would not call that mocking, they are just different.

I enjoyed them. I do not really see what is so bad about them except that they are very different from the original.
