I thought I'd be fun to put up a film we could all watch and chat about!

See the film and post anything you want! Comments, questions, reviews, whatever!

The story is a classic, there's lots of parodies and knockoffs, but I kinda doubt that everyone has seen this film. I think everyone would dig the plot, and it's not too extreme for anyone.

Yeah...the original short story was one of the most influential literary works, I guess as I think it even served as inspirations for stories & films like Battle Royale & Hunger Games! Seen it only once few years back & it was fun and entertaining indeed. After that even saw a super cheesy version of it...Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity!! It was fun too!

Cool idea.

I'm a fan of TMDG. When I'm at a real keyboard I'd love to throw my two cents in. I've come to hate typing on this little phone.

The Most Dangerous Game (1932)
6/10

Overall, this film struck me as much too melancholy. One would expect this theme to produce an exciting film, but the thrills were few are far between.

Also, the actors didn't seem to connect. They were strangers blown together in plot, of course, but the film devoted a lot of time to dialogue without evoking genuine emotion or accessible personalities.

There's a very humorous shot, where the camera slides down a line from a balcony to a closeup of the evil Zaroff (Leslie Banks). The closeup is fine, it just takes a slow bumpy ride to get there.

But there are also wonderful shots of the leads, Joel McCrea and Fey Rey, running through the jungle; including a POV shot through the brush. Made me wonder if they were possibly the first of their kind.

A fine choice if you're looking for a simple interesting story with a slow delivery.

What did you think of the film? You know, besides 'you liked it'. I mean, if you want to expand on your thoughts, I'm interested, but no pressure.
