The only good remake I can think of would be Dawn of the Dead. I'm not a remake fan and find most of them worthless.
How is TCM: The Beginning a remake?

The Omen Remake.... kinda truely SUCKED. Like it was bad to watch but if you compare it to the original.... it wasnt scary AT ALL. And I didnt like the whole moderinzed theme. Also it just seemed like they were going through the steps of it not really putting anything into it.

Was Exorcist: The Beginning a remake?
Haven't seen it. Fave remakes: King Kong 2006 - though I think of it more as an "homage" to the original, rather than a straight forward remake. The Thing And I am one of the few who liked the TCM remake - both films where shown within days of each other over here (UK) a few weeks ago and I still don't see what's the fuss was about (1974). Scary, erh.... NO, disturbing, well if watching a transvestite armed with a chainsaw ... weird yes, but not disturbing.

the thing - exceeded original
the fly - bout even hills hav eyes -slightly less but close house of wax- hardly remember the original havent seen it sinc ei was young but the new one was fun dawn of the dead - slightly less but close the blob - exceeded original night of living dead - high pedestal but got close
