The only good remake I can think of would be Dawn of the Dead. I'm not a remake fan and find most of them worthless.

How is TCM: The Beginning a remake?

Because TCM: The Beginning was practically a prequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). Therefore it was a remake of the original 1974 version. I dont know that is just my opinion. I thought the 2003 version sucked but "The Beginning" wasn't to bad actually.

The Omen Remake.... kinda truely SUCKED. Like it was bad to watch but if you compare it to the original.... it wasnt scary AT ALL. And I didnt like the whole moderinzed theme. Also it just seemed like they were going through the steps of it not really putting anything into it.

Was Exorcist: The Beginning a remake?

Haven't seen it.

Fave remakes:
King Kong 2006 - though I think of it more as an "homage" to the original, rather than a straight forward remake.
The Thing

And I am one of the few who liked the TCM remake - both films where shown within days of each other over here (UK) a few weeks ago and I still don't see what's the fuss was about (1974). Scary, erh.... NO, disturbing, well if watching a transvestite armed with a chainsaw ... weird yes, but not disturbing.

Yeah, the Omen remake was one of the worst remakes I've seen. Absolutely terrible.
