Ive only seen the first 2 of each series, but based on that I'd have to say Halloween by a long shot. Not that F13 isnt awesome, but Halloween is much better IMO.

The rest went downhill. Since I enjoyed F13th IV, VI, X and FvJ, I d say I ll go with the F13 series. Plus its kickass to see Jason hack away with his "penis-esque" machete. :D

What's funny is that Friday the 13th was intended to be a rip-off of Halloween.
But yes Halloween is more entertaining. |

Personally i think the Halloween series is much better in every respect. I dont think f13 is very good at all. the first couple arent bad, but they just got retarded after a while.

well personaly i think that its depends on what do you like... while halloween is focused more on the tension, on the flicks, you see halloween is more realistic... the killer is more realistic and the whole movie is more about tention then a lot of killing....friday the 13th on the other hand is pure slash movie (which i really enjoy) when friday the 13th came out from the first one to friday the 13th 4 ... yes they tried to make it like halloween only with more brutal killer and savage.....it focused always more on the killing... it always focused on some new ways of killing for jason , that was the main thing but it still got some tension ... but since friday the 13th 6 (i dont consider 5 as a movie from the series) since the 6 part they desided to go 90% only on the kills, they created a powerhouse killer who stops at nothing, who can tear limb after limb, who can cut a human in half ... and then they decided to go for a brutal killer who kills many people like flyes in many original ways, and since then it started to be the main idea in friday the 13th... its a pure slasher without much flicks... without much to think about... in halloween you dont know what will happen next... where is michael goin to apear and just the fact that michael is more human like that just makes the movie with more tension .... when you watch friday the 13th you say alright...2 minutes fron now that guy is going to get his freakin head cut by jason... there isnt much story there but its fun.... for me atleast its always fun to see the huge bad ass jason rips some limbs.... cut someone in half.... so you see people basically it depends on what do you like? more of a tension and realistic killer? or more gore and killing ways that always make you say take that b*tch .. but both movies are the best in there way IMO

well thats actually the thing.... while the 2 first movies in halloween are the best in series... the 2 first movies of friday the 13th arent the prime of the series at all.... in the first its only jasons mother and as usual you dont know who is the killer... in the second again we dont know who is the killer so the entire movie its all about suspicions ... and at the end they show as jason... and only since the third we already are getting into business.... so my advice for you is to check out 3,4, skid the fifth because it doesnt have jason its a different killer.... part 6 IMO is the best in the series... 7 is an ok its a nice movie... 8 is crap, a total crap... 9 is worst then 8 ... and 10 which is jason x is a good one and one of the best ... so i will recomand you to see those because they are the true fridays
