Walk Hard (currently on Netflix)
9/10

Excellent hilarious smooth parody. Wouldn't watch it with Grandma though.

Super (currently on Netflix)
7/10

A dude loses his girlfriend to a drug dealer and becomes a reallife super hero to get her back.

Pretty emotionally raw and simplistic, but fascinating just the same. My mon would say it's "stupid", and indeed it is,but it hits the essential nerves of males.

Unacknowledged (currently on Netflix)
10/10

Sorry, it's the real deal documentary. Not for entertainment purposes. Comes fast and dense. Had to watch a few times.

Fred Armisen: Standup For Drummers (currently on Netflix)

Really loved it. Standup comedy by Fred Armisen. Always wanted to see his standup. Too much like me. Perhaps why I liked it.

Cheap thrills, lowbrow dialogue, hard rock, and mild gore make this one a pretty good flick...

It's not the D. Argento one tho it has a similar name.

Pelt (2010) directed by Richard Swindell

Abbott Hayes!

I don't understands why everyone hates this movie. I see similarities in other low budget films that people adore. I liked it and glad I own this.

JigSaw
Another Saw film.
Another twist - Though I don't know if they could hand-hold you any more through this, they more or less explained it numerous times throughout the movie...matter of fact one thing said clearly outlined what was going on - so the whole "wow, John Cramer is alive" bit just..did not work.

This one felt a bit like one of those later "hellraiser" direct to video psuedo-sequels..they departed from the main theme of the previous movies and essentially made a detective thriller? WAY too much was based around the investigation and not the "game" and victims thereof.

I suppose at least the villain (or...hero?) seemed to be one of the "good" Jigsaws, followed Johns vision correctly and seemed to have good cause. I liked their tricks. They were intelligent.

The traps were pretty boring unfortunately...

Biggest problem - We didn't get anything from where SAW7 ended up, eg: Doctor Gordon and "crew"...if you were looking forward to seeing that like I was, forget it. Not even a damn mention or link.

I'd give this maybe a 5/10.
Elements I liked, strung through a bunch of shit I didn't.

SICK HOUSE 2016

Made in Snap Chat, which I don't have and know very little about, the film plays out as a found footage documenting 4 teens trying to locate the "Sick House" on a camping trip.

An interesting backstory, very little scares but I enjoyed it. Some creepy moments.

THE PEOPLE VS GEORGE LUCAS (2009). Pretty good film involving a group of Star Wars fanatics (almost all of them for Episodes 4-6) and their sense of outrage over the prequels and Lucas's endless dithering about. Some good amateur films in here. ***
