In the Skeleton Key, at the end you find out that the souls of the two servants were passed from person to person through Voodoo. They transferred their souls into the rich white dude's kids b4 they were hung. Caroline gets possessed with the servant woman's soul at the end and the guy servant's soul is in the body of the laywer guy.
