Hey, someone else finally mentioned Frenzy on a list of favorites. You have great taste....lol....I have never seen The Lodger. I need to add that one to my must-see list, I suppose. One of the very few Hitchcock films I haven't seen. The Trouble With Harry is another I haven't seen (well, I have seen parts of it on TCM, but never sat down and watched it through to the end).

Yes the Lodger is ace. Depends if you like silents. End of the day a great film is a great film, I know some people are funny about silent or subtitled films like that.

Frenzy is brilliant too. To be honest though I was a little shocked with Hitch showing not one, but two naked women!! The old spunker! It just feels different to his other films. Maybe it's because it's his first movie filmed in England for a long time I don't know. It just feels a lot more modern than the others.

The Lodger, Vertigo, The Birds.

Of Course Psycho original over new one, never liked the remake.

I love classics, so I don't mind silent films. In fact, I just love movies period.....like you said, a great film is a great film.

I think Frenzy is fairly brutal and graphic in a lot of ways (not to mention brutally funny) and it is one of my favorite films of all time. It is certainly unique among Hitchcock's work.

Frenzy is my all-time fav, but Shadow of a Doubt is great, and seems to be mentioned very little here, and it was as legend has it, Hitch's favorite film of his.

Family Plot, the only one of Hitch's films that was a total waste.

Haven't seen that one! It always looked kinda' dumb to me, and it looked so new and unlike Hitchcock. Is it so bad that it's not worth a free viewing on TV?
