The Devil's Rejects. This is what a great artist might paint if he had only sex, drugs, rock and roll, as well as a huge dab of sadistic murder on his color palette. Beautiful. Ashe.

p.s. i am purposely letting Sheri Moons' occassionally forced dialogue to slip by completely unnoticed.

V, I watched the same double a while back...not quite as fun as when I was about 13, but a decent watch. I think I sent them to my mother, ha.

Just got done with "Godzilla: Final Wars" I wasn't expecting much but I quite liked it.

Watchmen ~ I don't really know anything about the graphic novel, but I absolutely loved it. I thought because it was so long, I might be a bit bored off and on, but I wasn't. Wish I could have seen this at the theater. I also heard several people say it was hard to follow (it was a blind buy for us, even the cashier told us it was "confusing") I don't really get that.

Knowing ~ really enjoyed this one as well, though I think it had its problems. Not too crazy about the ending (though it didn't ruin the movie for me by any means), but overall, I thought it was well done. It was nice to see a Nicholas Cage movie that made me remember why I used to like him so much. :)

It has lost some of its shiny 80s cheesy charm, I admit.
The first time I watched it, I thought Douglas was a blast, with all those punching one-liners and that wonderful non-chemistry he shared with Turner. But, watching it now, he's just a cheeky Indiana-wannabe.
Its a wonder how growing-up can make a difference to the whole perception you have of a movie. (I have been finding that out the hard way in a number of re-watches recently)

Sole exception - The Goonies. I swear I ll never grow out of that one, even when I am 90 (if I live that long).

Puzzlehead

One of those arty indie movies that takes a simple story and doesn't make it interesting and thinks it's more powerfull than it is.

Orphan

I saw the trailer before "The Hangover" and made my best guess to myself about what the twist may be. I saw the movie to see if I was right, I was! Hooray for me.

Anywho, it was a decent movie. Not terrible, but in no way great. It had a few good scenes, I especially liked Esther's paintings. Some logical issues took away from the film for me a bit.
