They were both on TCM. I keep forgetting to check out that channel. It very often has really interesting programming. Last night's theme was biker films.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service

My eldest is going through a James Bond kick, obsessing on the new Bond flicks. Thought I should show him a couple of my favorites. This one has the most character development and the most interesting story of all the Bond films. Lazenby is no Sean Connery, but he handles himself well and is self-deprecating. The directing has an almost Bava-esque pop-art appeal and Diana Rigg is the ultimate Bond girl; smart, sexy, tough, and she even gets to drive the car in a getaway! And did I mention Telly Savalas as Blowfeld?

A bit longer than I remembered. The pacing is off, but still... fine entertainment.

7/10

up next... the silliest Bond - Moonraker

How did your friend like these?

I got to see Eyes Without a Face in the theater last year, it was amazing to see it on the big screen.

Also, if you get a chance to read Let the Right One In, it's much better than the movie (which was good).
