Hysterical. I don't usually recommend trash unless it's the golden goose, and here it is.

Don't Torture a Duckling (1972)

Right up there among Argento's greatest giallos.
I've been wanting to check out Samurai Cop for awhile now heard its gold from a couple of people now.

Don't Torture A Duckling is one of the many Fulci flicks I need to check out. What version have you got?

An American Nightmare
Excellent documentary! Thanks for the rec. Speaks on the historical significance of a lot of horror films, such as Dawn of the Dead (consumerism), Shivers (sexual revolution), Last House on the Left (it's not ONLY a movie...) and so on. Really great interviews, especially with Savini.

Sick Girl
An alright installment in the MOH series. I'm a big fan of Angela Bettis and Lucky McKee. I just thought it could use a much darker tone. I was expecting a female version of Bugcrush.

Home Sick
See it. Now.

Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film
My must-see list has gotten much larger. UGH, one thing I hated about this? THEY GODDAMN SPOILED the twist endings to almost EVERY SINGLE MOVIE they talked about. I really enjoyed the interviews with the creator of Slumber Party Massacre, and the actress who played Angela in Sleepaway Camp.

Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer
People say it's like The Evil Dead. I can see the connections, but it's totally not as fun. The only real action takes place an hour into the film, and while it's non-stop from there, it still doesn't reach Evil Dead status. I don't think Jack Brooks compares to Ash, either. Still a good watch. It's not GORY, persay, since most of the liquids are green goblin ooze, not blood.

Bloody Murder
Wow, what a rip-off of Friday the 13th. Shameless, too. They don't even try and pretend F13 never happened. And one of the characters TRIES to be self-aware, ala Scream, but it's just a bad attempt. The acting is horrific, as is the camera work and sound... VERY much like a softcore production on late night cable. Seriously. I think that's the nail-on-the-head. Softcore without sex.

You'll love it. It's like Deep Red meets I Walked With a Zombie.
I watched the Blue Underground version. I believe it was fully uncut- an hour and forty minutes.

Anyway, check both those babies out.

100 Feet (2008)

The effects of the ghost were pretty lame, I think now this type of effects can't even work for the kids also. Otherwise it's a watchable malevolent ghost story.

I agree. I admit I am not a huge Fulci fan, but actually really loved this movie. I think its Fulci's best, from what I have seen.

Monkey Business

Great comedy, you know it's going to be silly from the very beginning.

Elvira Mistress of the dark

5/10

Invasion of the body snatchers (56)

8.5/10

Dial M for Murder

***Possible Spoilers***

The first time I have seen this classic, and I loved the first half, the build up of the plot, the 20 minute scene where the blackmail took place etc..

But the ending where the detective comes back into the apartment, the music was horendous and it just turned into a mess.

6.5/10
