My current busstop book is Watchers by Dean Koontz. Only about 30 pages in, but it's a smooth read so far. It's still setting things up, introducing a lot of characters, some are more interesting than others. So far.

Never read the book but after watching the movie I thought it would've worked better as a book. Thinking about it I've never read a Koontz book. They've just never screamed out "read me" to me.

It's my first Koontz book as well. It was in the box of books Rayne sent me, so I figured I'd give it a go. Never seen the movie so this will all be new to me. So far I think he does have a good eye for detail and an insight into human motivations.

I've read several of Koontz's novels, some were excellent, some were just okay but all were enjoyable reads. My favorites of his that I've read are Phantoms, Watchers, and The Door to December.

My first and only Koontz book was Tick Tock which i think was a bad choice. From what i gathered from the afterword, he wrote it with a different style and combined horror with screwball comedy which i didnt feel work. I didnt like the book very much and havent been interested in returning to him but like NE, i got one of his books from Raynes Book Box so maybe after i read that, i'll change my opinion on him.

Finished Gears of War: Coalition's End by Karen Traviss, very epic, indeed. Also finished reading The Walking Dead volume 2: Miles Behind Us, and The Walking Dead volume 3: Safety Behind Bars, both very sick and twisted graphic novels, I enjoy the classic image comics workmanship, along with the B&W artwork. Makes things a lot more intriguing, I suppose.
I first read The Walking Dead volume 1: Days Gone Bye back in August or September, before I ever watched the hit AMC television series with the same name, the series is amazing, got me into the graphic novel series a lot more. :)

I just started reading Forever Odd by Dean Koontz but realized that it was the second book in a series, so I'm going to go back and read Odd Thomas first when I get a chance. I'm about to start reading World War Z.

Really enjoyed Phantoms and Watchers but haven't read The Door To December-my fave Koontz book overall is Lightning. I agree some of his books were just OK-I didn't hate them or anything but were not very special but he has some gems like above. I find his books to be easy reads rather than challenging reads so works well when in that mood.
