windows 7 found all my hardware for my laptop except for graphics.
It won't have the drivers for your Graphics card as there is so many types (same goes for sound cards) but it should be able to get a nic card working..

just because a network card is ndis complaint doesn't mean windows has drivers for it, same as other devices. there are plenty of manufacturers of network cards.

Yep, it's in the devices section, complete with the exclamation mark. But no, for whatever reason it's not in the network connections bit, although the wireless is.

I'm sure you're right for some cards but I've never had to install drivers for a NIC card.

Anyway some thing like Driver detective or AIDA32 will show all the componants in your PC and then you can find the drivers...DD will actually give u links for them (great service)
