I don't think so.....with the 2 year warranty, you simply walk in with broken xbox...and walk out with new one.

i heard that gamestop will replace your broken Xbox for and Xbox elite...but if I'm not sure if your allowed to keep the old hard drive. |

What i find interesting is the console that seems to be having all of the problems is made by the company that makes the operating system for gaming pcs.
My career is pure Microsoft, and the products I use work like clockwork, but MS's other ventures... they are scary sometimes. |

This is becoming quite a serious problem...I wonder why MS is not paying enough attention towards it.
The red rings are making me very apprehensive of getting one for myself. My PS3 and Wii have been excellent so far, without any problems...so I think I will wait a little longer to see if MS addresses this issue and brings out a new version which has this bugging problem fixed.
