I've been listening to the Afghan Whigs a lot again. Such a great band, and Gentlemen in particular is on the short list for best album of the 90s. The Whigs are the greatest white soul/R&B band ever, and it's a damn shame that they're so overlooked.

I remember them....I had an album in 96 maybe? I dunno, been a while. I liked the song "Honky's ladder" I think it was called. Anyways, yeah, from what I remember they were pretty cool.

Oh yes. Just listen to "I Keep Coming Back" or "Debonair." Pure soul.

Cool. I've just heard their heavier stuff. Never really gave this band the time I should've.

Digging out the old sentimental ones cause of my punk rockin' divorce. There's some of the greatest tunes ever put to wax on these fuckers...... cheap sixer and wine driven sing alongs at my house. "The trees are burning in your promise land............."

So what've the HDC supafreeeeeakin' kids been blasting of late?
