My 31 Nights Of Halloween continues with:

"Curse Of The Undead" (1959)
-Micheal Pate, Eric Fleming

Plot: Turner Classics Movie
Western with a twist: mysterious gunslinger-for-hire Drake Robey is really a vampire, and it's up to Preacher Dan to save the town and girlfriend Dolores Carter.

Phantom's Review: Okay, first let me say I love westerns, along with horror it's my favorite genre and this little seen movie is a favorite of mine.
Definitely, a "B" movie, but very well acted by a cast of western veterans and with some nice creepy atmosphere and great spooky music. I truly enjoy this film and it's a Halloween staple at my house.

Been trying to stick with classics for my Hallowe'en watching this year. So far, it's been:

The Phantom of the Opera (1925), The Raven (1935), The Wolf Man (1941), Psycho (1960), all of which were on the big screen!

and Vampyr (1932), The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966), Spider Baby (1968), Repulsion (1965), Dracula's Daughter (1936), and I'm getting ready to watch This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse right now!

Why thank you !
It's definitely been the best lineup in recent years.
Not sure what to do next...I'm thinking Mark of the Vampire and a Tourneur/Lewton film.

Frankenstein must be Destroyed (1969)

I think it's the most meanest & terrifying portrayal of Baron Frankenstein ever. Excellent.

Tomb of Liegeia is a really overlooked Corman film, I think. It may be my favorite Corman/Poe film. It's much more dour and foboding than either Pit & the Pendulum or Masque of the Red Death. Price's portrayal is so stark and hopeless.
