It's a cheap documentary from the late 80's...an old tape...features interviews with a lot of the NOTLD people, Sam Sherman, Bobbie Bresee, Linnea Quigley, Forry Ackerman...all hosted by James Karen. If you can find it cheap, I recommend it.

We USED to have drive-ins all over the place here in California in the distant past. They're pretty much all gone now except for one or two. I miss it :(

I have not seen the sequel (should I?) but I thought the first movie was prime exploitation. Very well made crap.

Aside from it being very competently executed--by people who knew and understood exactly what they were making--I enjoyed the whole "Eric Stoltz was too expensive to be present throughout the movie so they rewrote the script with his character being bit by the poisonous bug and going into a fever so they could film most of his scenes on one set with him unconscious" thing. I don't know for certain that that's what happened, but it suuuuuuure seems that way.

"No, you don't have enough to keep me on for six weeks. But I'll tell ya what, if you rewrite the script so I get bitten by a bug or something, then we can do it in a week and a half for that same wad of cash. That way we both win, and I can take a couple of trips to the Bahamas! What do you say, guys? I'll wake up at the end of the movie and stab the big snake, and everyone will forget that I was hardly in the movie at all!"

hey hey hey!

"Return of the Living Dead 2" on VHS is the version with the original J. Peter Robinson music track (and not the recently-rescored version for DVD release). Very collectible in certain circles. The stereo mix is also very lively. Niiiiiiiiiiiice. Good choice.

Yep, mint original packaging too..... it was quite a nice stash of stuff. I was really happy with Maniac and Mother's Day cause they were pulled from the shelves over here years ago because of the "Video Nasty" dramas..... almost impossible to find on VHS over here.
