1.A Nightmare On Elm Street.
2.Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
3.A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors.
4.A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 The Dream Master.
5.A Nightmare On Elm Street 2 Freddy's Revenge.
6.Freddy Vs Jason.
7.Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare.
8.A Nightmare On Elm Street 5 The Dream Child.

A Nightmare On Elm Street's my favourite horror series.
Do you think they'll make a Freddy Vs Jason 2?

He's not the only comon element in them: Heather Langenkamp. The ultimate slasher heroine, IMO. All the rest had boring, throw-away heros / heroines, but Nancy is awesome.

A Nightmare on Elm Street- A classic horror film.

Freddy Vs. Jason- A fun and slick slasher.

New Nightmare
Dream Warriors
Freddy's Revenge
Freddy's Dead
The Dream master
The Dream Child

I love the first Nightmare on Elm Street, but I'm not a huge fan of the rest.

I agree with most of your order, but I'd switch a couple:
I prefer Dream Warriors over New Nightmare.

I also am not a big fan of Part 2. I'd put it next to last behind Final Nightmare. The rule bending was just a bit too annoying for me :D

I would also put Freddy vs. Jason right up there. I enjoyed the whole "Christmas sweater, phallic symbol" conversation between Freddy and Kelly Rowland's character.

i have the series but havent seen all of them yet, i dip into it about once a month so it's not really much of a controlled experiment for me.

However, on the subject of dream movies, I can tell you that Freddy will never top the line "Maybe she's the one who bought the damn gasoline and helped pour it on the babies!" from Bad Dreams. Definetly one of my top 5 b-movie lines of all time, maybe even number one.

i like Freddy's humor and his killing is cool, but the ranking prob. wouldn't be the same as mine, the original is prob. the best, but I thought Freddy's Dead should be higher than last in a ranking of the series, part 2 i think is the worst out of the series

but he did scare me in New nightmare (he wasn't funny in this one or 1st one)
3rd one and Freddy vs Jason were really fun to watch

2.Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
3Freddy Vs Jason.
4 A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 .
5.A Nightmare On Elm Street 2
6.A Nightmare On Elm Street 4
7 A Nightmare On Elm Street 5
8 Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare.
