Am I the only one who enjoyed Amityville Horror and The Hills Have Eyes remakes?

Yeah, I think you are the only one. My co-host and I constantly have this argument so perhaps you (or anyone) can weigh in - why not just watch the originals? No remake has ever been better than the original (by definition it can't) so why not just leave well enough alone and watch the original?

Supremely unconvinced, expectations overwhelmingly low.

But who knows, maybe some 26-year old, kind of odd-looking Swedish dude was part of the director's vision. Maybe he was all they could afford. Maybe de has a really pushy agent determined to make him a horror icon after he starred in Hemlock Grove.

Bah, I think they're going to screw it up, which would blow, because the next generation of kids deserve the same chance to be traumatized-by-clown as we had.

As the original movie was very far from being a great adaption of Stephen King's masterpiece, I do have hopes for this one. Especially the ending.

You mean ANY remake or just remakes of those two horrors I mentioned?

I think the new Pennywise looks excellent. People are complaining but I like the idea that he would draw from the looks of an era past. It makes sense seeing as he has existed forever. We also don't know if the released picture is Bad Pennywise or attractive Good Pennywise. People are jumping to conclusions way to fast.

it looks like it will be OK, and maybe this will help some people. I think of every remake as a multiverse of the original. The made of TV movie Turtles Forever helped me with that so whenever there is a remake i think of it as that universes original so that makes it OK, Yeah things are a little different each time but that is because that is how it happened in that universe. It's like ours the Prime and the remakes are different branches of it in the other universes. It helped me a lot to be able to enjoy more movies ^_^
