The last horror movie I saw was Dark Water. A strange cult horror film done by a British guy, but set and filmed in the Ukraine. It was very classic in its themes, but was really beautifully shot. Although the story didn't do much for me, I really enjoyed just looking at it.

Dictado aka Childish Game (2012)
 A Spanish thriller with good production value and a decent but pretty simple plot. >>: B Detention (2011)  This is a fast paced, pretty weird teen comedy with tons of 90s & modern pop culture references that needed a long funny title for its own sake...to draw some attention for its targeted audience. Here's a proper plot synopsis..."Detention outwardly tells the story of a group of friends who set out to stop a serial killer stalking their high school and who end up having to time travel to prevent the end of the world. Also there was juiced out jock who has fly blood and whose father forces him in his childhood to wear a television on his hand to hide his abnormality (!), the school mascot, a huge stuffed grizzly bear who at some point abducted by aliens"! The horror or slasher element comes as a minor aspect of the film...as I said, it was one mess of a weird teen comedy. >>: B-

the big year
probably the most sickest gorific movie iv ever seen the decent im probably the only fucker who hasnt seen these movies yet.was good,really liked the demon / monster things,remindes me of that demon thing on the cover of mayhems chimera Last edited by wizard of gore; 08-04-2012 at 02:48 PM.

Red,white and Blue.It was a slow burner but I really enjoyed the music ,the story and the style in which it was filmed.Gritty..I would deffo recommend.
Oh,and I saw Charlies Dad from Charlie and the chocolate factory in a different light I tell thee!

The Woman (2011) I haven't read Jack Ketchum's book but I personally prefer to see a movie before I read the book and so tried to take this Lucky McKee directed film on it's own moments. It gets points for not going where the viewer expects it to. But I was a little bit disappointed with how rushed I felt it was. There was attempts made at characterization but the motivations of the characters wasn't developed fully enough for me-it felt like parts of it had been edited out so it didn't make enough logical sense to make the big reveals at the end to be believable enough or to have the true hard-hitting impact that was intended. A Very good try but not something I would watch again
