sorry to break it to ya buddy but Tarantino didn't Direct it nor did it come from his head.
It was actually Eli Roth who directed it and who came up with the idea. Tarantino just liked the idea and became Executive Producer.

That's why they plaster popular names on movies, because most people probably just assume they wrote or directed. Same thing they do with King adaptions.

I enjoyed Hostel. Very intense. Buckets of gore (haven't seen this many severed body parts outside of an anatomy school), and a ton of hot naked chicks to boot. I was surprised because I hated Cabin Fever, but Roth, it seems, is quickly getting much better. :D

I didn't like it that much either. I honestly did prefer Cabin Fever. More my style. It was alright simply due to the fact I enjoyed the final ending scenes. The first was trash, and so was the middle, but to a lesser extent. The introduction of the asian woman, the paying customer, the bubble-gum trade, the train, and the escape made it worth a single watch. Memorable scenes IMO. But otherwise, I thought it was a huge step down from Cabin Fever.
