The Apocalypse

There are so many theories about how the world is going to end...People base these theories on many things...Some are biblical, some are environmental, some are based on human hostility, some are geological, etcetera...

BUT...One way or another, pretty much all of us have imagined an end, and perhaps considered what would eventually cause it...

So...How do you guys think the world is going to end?

Does anyone think that the world is NOT going to end, and that it's all bullshit?.....Or perhaps human extinction occurs, but the planet and everything else on it remains...

Thoughts?

After seeing what happened down in the gulf coast, i would say environmental. We can be reduced to animals in just a few short days.

I just thought of another question...

Do you think it will happen in our lifetime?...Or maybe in a hundred years?...A thousand?

The world will end in 3000something
Because Nostradamus and H.G.Wells said so.
and I believe them 100%.

But most likely, this planet will evolve to the point where we can ship our spawn all over the galaxy before the Sun goes supernova.

It won't "end", but I could definitely see it being sent back to the dark ages. WW3 will be a nuclear war. I imagine that most of the globe would suffer astronomical casualties but there would be people in rural or otherwise secluded pockets of existence that survive.

Here's a mind fucker...

What if a civilization just like ours has already existed once or twice (Or more) on this planet? It could have been millions of years ago and they could have been every bit as advanced as us (maybe even more so.). They could have had the same problems with coexistence that we do and they could have obliterated their entire race with a nuclear war (or something of the sort. There's no telling whether they'd have invented nuclear weapons or not, but just for the sake of this story, they did.) So this civilization ends up destroying itself with it's own weapons... I'm talking eradicated, nothing left.

Evolution would go back to square one, and we'd climb out of the proverbial ooze as cavemen, never even knowing the prior civilaztion existed.

And before you say that we would have found remnants from them, try to remember this is before dinosaurs, cavemen, or time as we know it. And also, they were completely eradicated.

We'd never know. The same thing could happen to us. We destroy the world and everything in it and then evolution starts back at square one wth some other dude climbing out of the sludge.

You believe Nostradamus 100%?

Even though 75% of his predictions never come to pass and the ones that do are so incredibly vague that anyone could predict them?

Sooner rather than later.

If not in our lifetime, then in the next generations.

I believe that anything I believe is pointless,because the more I learn,the longer I live-I realize I know nothing,and probably never will.
