The Terror

It was made in 1963. Starring Boris Karloff as the baron( It was obvious that he was suffering from arthritis by then.) and (a very young) Jack Nicholson as a french cavalry soldier.
I just bought an 8 movie horror classic set and this movie was on it. Its being distributed by Platinum disc corporation.
The jest of the story is this. Soldier is helped by beautiful lady that disappears. He takes residence in giant castle owned by the baron. The young woman is the ghost of the barons wife, whom the baron had murdered 20 years earlier. He caught her in bed with another man.
Her ghost has been raised by an old witch and she seeks revenge. Her son was the lover caught with the barons wife.

Far from being the best movie of any of it's stars. It really is just a low budget waste of time.

Walmart has a couple of classics such as this for $1. I recall the Satanic Rites of Dracula and the Terror as two of them.

I liked it. Three great names involved with it: Boris Karloff, Roger Corman, and Jack Nicholson. Great effects by the way.
