I watched Tomie as a result of a friends recommendation. I like the odd premise, know it was based on a manga, I agree though it was rather dull. However I do appreciate a new monster. Same reason I'm fond of Splinter. Still not sure why it spawned 8 films I believe. Was it that popular that that many sequels were green lighted? Criticisms aside, I still like the first film.

Uzumaki is also unusul, again slow but unusual in a good way for me though. I find many Asian films are slower paced. More slow unfolding of the story as opposed to fast and sometimes cheap scares we usually see in other countries films.

Carved was another I didn't mind.

Versus is an all time favorite of mine. Evil Dead 2 meets Pulp Fiction.
3 Extremes (I don't like anthologies but these films are not great but better than most)

Wild Zero!!!!! Zombies, the band Guitar Vader, a love story with a morphodite, oh, and a drinking game.

Neighbor 13. What a film. More psychological terror than horror as such.

I Am Father - more of a thriller again
Silk - paranormal research/science/supernatural Taiwan film
Accident - not horror but scary premise
Thirst - Korean
Devilman - Go Nagai's classic becomes live action.

I'll stop for now. Love horror films far to much.
