Have read that Hammer was sick of Chris Lee griping about the direction the series was going in and wanting more money (which, Truth to tell, He did deserve more), so figured they would start a new series with Ralph Bates. However, Warner Brothers, who distributed the films in the States, demanded Chris be in it. How galled Carreras must have been and Chris really doesn't look happy to be there.
Probably the last film in the series to continue the saga and am mystified as to what happens in the end. Is Chris overcome by the Forces of Good after being in the Church for at least a couple of days or is there something else? **1.2
