The Dick Van Dyke Show was a funny show (creator, headwriter Reiner). Did you ever see the pilot for what would become The Dick Van Dyke Show? It had Carl Reiner playing the role of Rob. Netflix made it the first episode. Very interesting. It was a bit more like Father Knows Best. I guess it didn't play well, and it was decided they'd change the cast. It's on youtube "Head of the Family".
