I'd say the front-runner is probably THE WALKING DEAD (Image Comics), but THE GOOD (Dark Horse) and HELLBOY(Dark Horse) are also very good.
An great under-rated mini-series is THE DEVIL'S FOOTPRINTS (Dark Horse).
