But to follow up to the point about people not knowing what they would do if we suddenly lost all of our resources we take for granted, I can totally agree with that. it is a big part of why I have been saying for so long that we as a human race are devolving because there was so much we used to have to work for and now technology has made us lazy. Technology has already enslaved us.

It really has. But I like to believe that even if the entire world collapses one day (which I'm sure it will) that there will still be enough capable people around to keep the human species alive.
