Flannery O'Connor's excellent novel makes a truly bizarre film. Pretty true to the book on paper, it comes off a little goofier and messier than its source material, which is certainly nothing out of the ordinary. That being said, it's still very engaging, unique cinema. Very enjoyable.

I was really dissapointed in the film version of it - I think making it 'contempory' ruined my believe in the naivity of Dourif's character. It wasn't a terrible film - i just loved the book a lot..
