HDC Vintage 101

Hello, Horror.com.

For almost six months, myself and a panel of some of HDC's most distinguished and impassioned classic horror buffs have been working, debating, data mining, correcting obnoxious clerical errors due to my nonexistent organizational skills, and generally i-dotting and t-crossing in the interest of vintage horror. While the forum itself defines classic horror as pre-1970, I thought that 1967 would make a good cut off, because it was 40 years before when we began and before films like Rosemary's Baby and Night of the Living Dead began to define modern horror. I hope HDC appreciates, learns from, and grows upon these selections, which we fought tooth and nail in order to best represent our panelists and the multitude of films we picked out.

Thanks Alky, Countess Marya Zaleska, Despare, ManchestrMorgue, Neverending, Return, Rod, __V__ and Zwoti.

Without further ado, here you go, HDC. I'm posting them alphabetically for now and leaving blurb space.

Why 101? It's old school and Vintage Horror is at least 1% special.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)

The Amazing Mr. X (1948)

At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (1964)

The Bad Seed (1956)

The Birds (1963)
