I guess the best way to describe them is that they're kinda like meatballs, except with fish - They're a greyish color (ick) and are kinda mushy and mealy... And fishy. Also, they don't typically take out the bones so you wind up picking fish bones out of your teeth.

Sometimes they would serve them in soup, and that was the worst (especially if you're a dump foreigner like me and was expecting one of their otherwise delicious soups ;)).
