Reports have been coming in this afternoon and evening of the teaser trailer for Paramount's upcoming sequel being pulled from prints of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.

The preview was attached to the vampire/werewolf saga when it began its release with midnight shows last night, and it was just too much for some of the tweens in attendance.

Executives with the Cinemark theater chain received complaints from some of their Texas venues that the PARANORMAL 2 teaser was "too scary," and told Paramount they were pulling it from screens. You may not think the clip is that frightening, but a studio exec told Deadline's Nikki Finke, "I actually went to a couple theaters last night, and a ton of girls jumped out of their seats and screamed. All I can tell you is people complained and Cinemark pulled it down."

Parents doing the protesting, perhaps? Who knows...?

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2, directed by Tod Williams, is headed for an October 22 release.
