I agree,i am not having that the wife is blameless.No wish to be sexist here but why do they always assume the women are inocent all the time.
One thing,i would not shoot him dead,although it is tempting.Rather i would put him in a similar cellar but much smaller and much lower in headroom.Have no means of communication and leave him there till he rots.
