Hey! I am new to this, so what do I do? Do I join a chat, start a chat, what? I have never "chatted" online before so I am a total VIRGIN to this.

Well, you do this, but in a thread on a topic you like. Say you want to talk about your favorite soup. You go to the general forum, go to search and type in favorite soup, then you can talk about your favorite soup. That's just an example. Although it is the best and most popular thread.
